Under the supervision of Chief Commissioner Ms. Tehmina Aamer, around 2700 packets of illicit cigarettes were destroyed in Chak Barahm, Jhelum, emphasizing efforts to combat illegal activities and uphold the law.

The Regional Tax Office in Rawalpindi's Jhelum Zone recently took a significant step in combating illegal activities by disposing of a large quantity of illegal, smuggled, and counterfeit cigarettes. The value of the confiscated cigarettes was estimated at Rs 202 million, with unpaid duties amounting to Rs 147.15 million. This operation was carried out under the supervision of Chief Commissioner Ms. Tehmina Aamer in Chak Barahm, Jhelum, where around 2700 packets of illicit cigarettes were destroyed.

The event, attended by Commissioner Walayat Khan and other officials, aimed to raise awareness about the process of confiscating and eliminating illicit tobacco products in compliance with the law.
