Residents of DIKhan Demand Police Action Against Rising Crime

Residents of DIKhan have expressed growing worries over the escalating crime rates in their city. They are urging for a united effort to effectively combat street crimes that have been plaguing the area. The residents are stressing the importance of implementing a comprehensive strategy to address the criminal activities that are causing distress within the community. They are calling upon the Inspector General Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to personally intervene and direct the District Police officials to take firm actions against the perpetrators to ensure the safety of the citizens.

In recent weeks, DIKhan has witnessed a notable increase in criminal incidents occurring in various parts of the city. Armed criminals, often on motorcycles, have been carrying out robberies that have resulted in fatalities and injuries, especially when faced with resistance. In one distressing event, three armed robbers robbed a resident at gunpoint, stealing a motorbike, Rs 90,000 cash, and a mobile phone. Another robbery involved three armed individuals snatching Rs. 2 million from the owner of a petrol pump. Tragically, in a separate incident, a citizen lost his life while another was injured as dacoits opened fire on their vehicle.

The surge in criminal activities in DIKhan has raised significant concerns among the residents, highlighting the urgent need for enhanced security measures.
