Saudi Airlines successfully welcomes Pakistani Hajj pilgrims at King Abdulaziz Airport as part of the Road to Makkah Initiative, ensuring a smooth and spiritually enriching journey through collaborative efforts between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

Two Saudi Airlines planes carrying a total of 720 Pakistani Hajj pilgrims landed at King Abdulaziz International Airport on Friday morning. This operation is part of the Road to Makkah Initiative, which has relocated the pre-Hajj-flight process from Madinah to Jeddah. The pilgrims, adorned in Ihram attire and reciting the Talbiyah, showcased their deep devotion as they disembarked from the planes.

The first flight, SV-3705, touched down at 5 a.m. local time with 370 passengers, followed by the second flight, SV-3727, which brought 350 pilgrims at 6:10 a.m. Officials from the Pakistan Hajj Mission and the Saudi government extended a warm welcome to the pilgrims, greeting them with rose petals, bouquets, drinks, dry fruits, and dates.

As part of the Road to Makkah initiative, the pilgrims underwent expedited immigration procedures, and their luggage was directly transferred to their designated hotel accommodations. The Pakistan Hajj Mission staff was present at the airport to provide assistance to the pilgrims, ensuring a smooth transition.

In the initial phase of the Hajj flight operation, a total of 34,316 Pakistanis were transported to Madinah by May 23 through 146 flights. Subsequently, from May 24 to June 09, an additional 114 flights are scheduled to transport 34,422 Pakistanis from various cities to Jeddah in preparation for the pilgrimage.

The seamless facilitation of Pakistani Hajj pilgrims through the Road to Makkah Initiative exemplifies the collaborative efforts between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan to ensure a comfortable and spiritually enriching journey for all participants. This initiative not only streamlines the logistical aspects of the pilgrimage but also underscores the significance of unity and cooperation among nations in fulfilling religious obligations.
