Sialkot Police Dismantles 'Shera Gang' in Successful Operation

On July 2, 2024, the Sialkot district police achieved a significant breakthrough by successfully dismantling a notorious criminal gang engaged in robbery and drug trafficking activities. This operation, led by District Police Officer (DPO) Sialkot Muhammad Hasan Iqbal, resulted in the arrest of two key members of the gang.

The raid, carried out under the supervision of DSP Saddar Circle Muhammad Nouman and SHO Police Station Kotli Loharan Inspector Waqas Akbar, targeted the 'Shera gang,' a group known for its involvement in various criminal activities. During the operation, Hassan Ijaz, alias 'Shera,' and Sajjad Hussain, known as 'Shada,' were apprehended.

Authorities conducted initial interrogations which led to the seizure of incriminating evidence from the suspects. The recovered items included Rs. 200,000 in cash, 3 motorcycles, 2.720 kg of hashish, 1 pistol, and multiple bullets. Subsequently, separate cases were filed against the accused, and they were placed in police custody pending further investigation.

The police are currently continuing their probe into the activities of the gang members to uncover additional details and ensure that all individuals involved in criminal activities are brought to justice.

The successful dismantling of the 'Shera gang' by the Sialkot district police marks a significant victory in the ongoing efforts to combat crime and maintain law and order in the region.
