Sindh clerks demand a 200% salary increase, insurance reform, and employment opportunities from the government to prevent escalating protests.

Clerks across Sindh province have taken a bold stance in demanding action from the government to address their grievances. Led by Provincial President Bakhsh Ali Chachar and supported by other prominent figures, including Attaullah Kunbhar and Wali Muhammad Soomro, the clerks have highlighted the challenges they face due to inflation.

During a gathering in Thatta, the clerks emphasized the urgent need for a substantial 200% increase in salaries to cope with the rising inflation rates. They also proposed a reform in the distribution of group insurance funds, advocating for individual disbursements upon retirement instead of a collective policy.

One of the key concerns raised by the clerks was the limited employment opportunities for their children. To address this issue, they called for the implementation of a quota system to ensure fair access to jobs for the offspring of current employees.

If their demands are not met by May, the clerks have warned of escalating protests. They have threatened to stage demonstrations, with Karachi being a potential focal point, should the government fail to take decisive action. The declaration has garnered significant support from clerks across Sindh, indicating a unified front in their quest for better working conditions and opportunities.

The firm stance taken by the clerks in Sindh underscores the pressing need for addressing their concerns regarding salaries, insurance benefits, and employment opportunities. The government now faces the challenge of responding to these demands in a timely and effective manner to prevent further escalation of protests and ensure a resolution that benefits all parties involved.
