Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah takes strict actions to address delays in key infrastructure projects, emphasizing timely completion for public benefit.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah recently conducted an inspection of seven construction projects to evaluate their progress and address any issues causing delays. During the inspection, he expressed dissatisfaction with the slow relocation of installations by K-Electric and Sui Gas Company, which was hindering the completion of the Malir Expressway project.

As a response to the delays, the Chief Minister took decisive action by suspending the SHO Korangi for failing to prevent the dumping of debris and garbage along Korangi Causeway. He also directed the SSP Korangi to personally oversee the development area where projects like the Malir Expressway, New Jam Sadiq Bridge, and Korangi Causeway Bridge are taking place.

The Malir Expressway, a significant project spanning 38.661 kilometers from Jam Sadiq Bridge to Kathore at M-9, commenced on May 12, 2022, with a projected completion time of 26 months. It is designed with six lanes and six interchanges, with segment-I from Korangi to Quaidabad at 70% completion and segment-II from Quaidabad to Kathore at 30% completion.

The delays in the project were primarily attributed to the pending relocation of installations by K-Electric and Sui Gas Company. The Chief Minister emphasized the urgency of resolving these issues and called for an immediate meeting with both companies to address the delays.

Additionally, encroachment issues at the Quaidabad Interchange loop and unresolved land disputes were identified as further obstacles to the project's timely completion. The CM instructed the DC Malir to take prompt action in removing encroachments and resolving land disputes to ensure the smooth progress of the projects.

The inspection and subsequent actions taken by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah highlight the government's commitment to timely and efficient completion of infrastructure projects. By addressing issues such as installation relocations, encroachments, and land disputes, the government aims to ensure the successful delivery of key projects for the benefit of the public.
