The Sindh Inspector General of Police, GhulamNabiMemon, has stressed the immediate enforcement of the Habitual Offenders Monitoring Act 2022 to combat crime effectively. This act aims to ensure that criminals face justice, enhancing public safety and benefiting society as a whole. In a recent meeting at the Central Police Office, IG Memon instructed the further development of the rules of the Act to ensure its objectives are implemented efficiently for the benefit of the police force and communities.

The meeting primarily discussed the electronic tagging (e-tagging) of habitual offenders and was attended by senior police officials. The DIG of T&T provided a detailed briefing on the e-tagging project and the Act, outlining the responsibilities of the sub-committees involved. IG Memon directed the formation of a committee to oversee the tasks efficiently, emphasizing the need to enhance technical support and procurement processes for e-tagging equipment.

IG Memon expressed satisfaction with the progress made, highlighting the Sindh Police's advancement towards modern policing methods.
