The Supreme Court of Pakistan dismisses Muhammad Din's bail petition in a case involving funds from abroad. Accused directed to file a fresh bail petition with the trial court.
The Supreme Court of Pakistan recently made a decision regarding a bail petition in a case involving the receipt of funds from abroad. The bail petition of the accused, Muhammad Din, was dismissed by the court. The case was heard by a three-member bench led by Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar.
The court highlighted that the petitioner was alleged to have received money from overseas into his bank account. Muhammad Din's lawyer argued that two other co-accused individuals had already been granted bail in the same case. The lawyer emphasized that his client, a Pakistani citizen, had submitted his passport and CNIC details as part of the case.
However, the court directed the accused to file a fresh bail petition with the trial court based on new grounds. Following this directive, the petitioner chose to withdraw the case. It is worth noting that the Counter Terrorism Department had filed a case against the accused individual the previous year.
