The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has updated its admission criteria for MPhil and Master's programs, now requiring a minimum score of 75% in the Postgraduate Entrance Test and removing the work experience prerequisite.

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has implemented new eligibility criteria for admission to its MPhil and Master's degree programs. As of the recent update, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 75 per cent in the University's Postgraduate Entrance Test to be considered for admission. This marks a significant increase from the previous requirement of 50 per cent. Notably, the prerequisite of two years of relevant work experience has been removed, allowing recent graduates to apply for these programs at UHS.

The decision to revise the admission criteria was reached during a meeting of the Advanced Studies and Research Board (ASRB) led by UHS Vice Chancellor Prof. Ahsan Waheed Rathore. The ASRB session involved the evaluation of 45 thesis reports submitted by students, along with the approval of examination panels for thesis assessments across various specialties.

The University of Health Sciences' updated admission criteria reflect a commitment to maintaining academic excellence while also adapting to the evolving needs of prospective students. By raising the bar for entrance test scores and eliminating the work experience requirement, UHS aims to attract a diverse pool of talented individuals seeking to pursue advanced degrees in the field of health sciences.
