In a recent statement, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur highlighted the crucial role of a free press in upholding democracy and democratic values within society. He expressed the significance of World Press Freedom Day in emphasizing the importance of a free press for the sustenance of democracy. The CM commended journalists across the country, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, for their dedication to journalistic freedom, even in challenging circumstances. Despite facing adverse conditions, journalists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continue to fulfill their duties with unwavering commitment.

Chief Minister Gandapur acknowledged the sacrifices made by journalists in the region, particularly during the fight against terrorism. He paid tribute to those journalists who lost their lives while performing their duties, recognizing their invaluable contribution to society. The CM reiterated the provincial government's commitment to freedom of speech and welcomed constructive criticism from the media for further improvement.

In a separate development, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has removed his Special Assistant Khalid Latif Khan Marwat from his position. Khalid Latif Khan, who served as the Special Assistant for Science and Information Technology, has been de-notified from his role by the KP government. The Administration Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa issued a de-notification notice to Khalid Latif Khan, officially relieving him of his duties as Special Assistant to the Chief Minister.

The decision to remove Khalid Latif Khan Marwat from his position comes as part of the government's administrative changes, reflecting the Chief Minister's commitment to ensuring efficiency and effectiveness within his team.
