Labour Minister Fazal Shakoor Khan Initiates Flood Mitigation Project

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Labour, Fazal Shakoor Khan, has announced that the provincial government is set to initiate a project aimed at mitigating the impact of floods in the region. Expressing concern over the devastating effects of floods, Minister Khan urged the federal government to allocate a larger share of the flood relief fund to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, highlighting the disproportionate impact of floods on the province compared to others.

During a visit to various areas in union council Tarnab, district Charsadda, located near River Khayali, Minister Khan emphasized the importance of early precautions and preparedness in saving lives and minimizing flood damage. He called upon residents living near rivers to take necessary safety measures to safeguard themselves and their properties.

Minister Khan stressed the need for concrete actions to protect communities from floods and other natural disasters, emphasizing the significance of proactive measures in reducing the destruction caused by such calamities.

The announcement of the upcoming project by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government underlines the commitment to enhancing disaster preparedness and response mechanisms in the face of recurring flood challenges.
