Minister Dr Asif Mahmood Jah leads a crucial meeting to evaluate taxpayer performance, address challenges, and enhance transparency in the tax system for economic growth.

Today, Minister of State and Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) Dr Asif Mahmood Jah will be spearheading a crucial meeting of the central advisory committee. This meeting aims to evaluate the performance and tackle the challenges faced by taxpayers. The 50-member advisory committee includes presidents from various chambers of commerce, women chambers, APTMA, seed associations, trade associations, tax bar associations, and Anjuman-I-Tajran. For those unable to attend in person, participation via video link is also an option.

Furthermore, the meeting will see the presence of Advisors, FTO, Secretariat, and Regional offices from Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Gujranwala, along with the Chief Inland Revenue Policy and Chief Sales Tax from the Federal Board of Revenue. The primary goal of this gathering is to enhance interaction with the business community, comprehend their tax-related issues, and effectively address their legitimate concerns.

By fostering such engagements and addressing the concerns of taxpayers, the government is taking proactive steps to ensure a more transparent and efficient tax system. This initiative not only benefits the business community but also contributes to the overall economic growth of the country.
