An accountability court in Islamabad has delayed the hearing on a petition seeking the acquittal of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the Toshakhana vehicles reference. The hearing, presided over by AC Judge Nasir Javed Rana, was scheduled to take place on May 28. Present in court were Nawaz's lawyer Qazi Misbahul Hassan Advocate and pleader Rana Muhammad Irfan.

During the session, NAB Prosecutor Khawaja Manzoor Lone requested a postponement, citing the need for Sohail Arif, the prosecutor in the case, to present arguments at the next hearing.

Qazi Misbah Advocate highlighted that the acquittal plea was based on a report submitted by NAB. The judge had expressed his intention to review the plea upon receiving the report. While Qazi Misbah Advocate sought a delay in the hearing, the NAB prosecutor proposed that the proceedings should resume in the following week.
