PML-N leaders convene to address wheat crisis

The central leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) are set to convene today at the Model Town Party Secretariat in Lahore to address the ongoing crisis surrounding the purchase of wheat in Punjab. The meeting, scheduled for 2:00pm, will see the participation of key figures including party leader Nawaz Sharif, party president and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, and senior leaders such as Rana Sanaullah and Khawaja Asif.

Reports indicate that the agenda will not only focus on the wheat procurement issue but also touch upon the party's reorganization and preparations for the upcoming PML-N General Council meeting on May 11. This gathering follows a previous meeting chaired by Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Maryam to address the pressing matter of wheat purchase.

The consultation aims to strategize and coordinate efforts within the party to effectively tackle the challenges posed by the wheat procurement crisis and to streamline organizational activities leading up to the General Council meeting.
