PTI clashes with legal community over Chief Justice involvement

Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) has stirred controversy by urging Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa to step down from presiding over cases involving the political party. They have emphasized Chief Justice Isa's competence, independence, and impeccable integrity, asserting their commitment to safeguarding the judiciary's autonomy.

In response to PTI's actions, the legal fraternity has united in denouncing any attempts to undermine the judiciary's credibility. The PBC has categorically stated that the formation of benches is within the purview of a committee led by the Chief Justice of Pakistan and two senior judges, dismissing PTI's demands as unwarranted and unacceptable.
