An anti-corruption court in Lahore has confirmed the interim bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Nadeem Abbas Bara in a case involving the alleged illegal occupation of land belonging to a bank. The court directed Bara to provide surety bonds worth Rs. 200,000 to secure the bail.

During the hearing, Anti-Corruption Court Judge Arshad Hussain Bhutta presided over the bail petition filed by Bara. The petitioner's counsel highlighted that multiple cases had been filed against Bara for the same offense of occupying bank land without authorization. The defense argued that the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab had implicated Bara without substantial evidence.

Despite the prosecution's opposition to the bail request, the court upheld the interim bail for Bara and instructed the submission of surety bonds. The case against Nadeem Abbas Bara and others pertains to the alleged illegal occupation of land owned by PCPL Bank in the Thokar Niaz Baig area.

In conclusion, the anti-corruption court's decision to confirm Nadeem Abbas Bara's interim bail sheds light on the ongoing legal proceedings surrounding the accusations of land encroachment. The requirement of surety bonds signifies a step towards ensuring compliance with the legal process as the case progresses.
