Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif's Governance Enhancements

In a bid to enhance governance and reduce expenses, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has set up a committee to restructure ministries and departments. Led by Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, the committee, which includes Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman and Law Minister Sohaib Ahmad Barth, aims to streamline operations and eliminate redundant institutions within 60 days.

The restructuring initiative targets downsizing departments experiencing financial losses and eliminating overlapping responsibilities among various institutions. By reducing ministry sizes, the government expects improved efficiency in managing official matters, ultimately expediting institutional performance and simplifying public service delivery.

Moreover, the Punjab Safe City Authority has expanded the 'CM Maryam Nawaz Free Wifi' service to 200 locations in Lahore, doubling the initial coverage. Free wifi is now accessible in areas like Manga Mandi, Multan Road, Bund Road, and Valencia. This expansion aligns with the digital Punjab vision, providing emergency wifi services for citizens to reach out to police and family members during urgent situations.

The 'CM Maryam Nawaz Free WiFi' service grants access to the Women Safety App, Punjab Police App, and WhatsApp for emergency communication. Through this service, individuals can contact authorities and loved ones via WhatsApp calls or messages, enhancing safety and connectivity in the region.

The initiatives spearheaded by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif demonstrate a commitment to improving governance efficiency and enhancing public services.
