Shahid Khaqan Abbasi acquitted in NAB's LNG reference case

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has withdrawn the LNG reference against former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, leading to his acquittal by the Islamabad Accountability Court. The reference, which was filed a few years ago, accused Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and others of corruption related to LNG contracts.

During the court hearing, Deputy Prosecutor NAB Azhar Maqbool appeared, along with Shahid Khaqan Abbasi's legal team. As a result, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, former Finance Minister Miftah Ismail, and Abdullah Khaqan were all acquitted from the charges.
