Shehryar Afridi, a PTI leader, challenges the government's legitimacy, calls for talks with military heads, emphasizing national interest over personal gain.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shehryar Afridi has made a bold statement, declaring that talks will only be held with the army chief and the intelligence chief in the near future. Afridi criticized the government led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, accusing them of being controlled by external forces like a 'remote control' and claiming that they came into power through questionable means.

Afridi, a former narcotics minister in Imran Khan's cabinet, emphasized the rejection of the current rulers by the people and questioned their legitimacy, citing alleged vote rigging in both general elections and by-elections. He urged the incumbent rulers to acknowledge the lack of public support and step down if they have the moral courage to do so.

Highlighting Imran Khan's stance on dialogue, Afridi stated that the PTI leader seeks discussions solely for the betterment of Pakistan and not for personal gain. He reiterated that the PTI would engage in talks with the army chief and the director general of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), emphasizing that the current rulers are allegedly supported by the establishment.

Afridi expressed Imran Khan's willingness for engagement since the beginning, claiming that if approached, Khan would have responded positively. He asserted his loyalty to the country, the army, and all other institutions, underscoring the importance of the upcoming talks with the military.

Shehryar Afridi's call for exclusive talks with the army chief and intelligence chief reflects the ongoing political tensions in Pakistan. The PTI leader's strong stance against the current government and his emphasis on dialogue for national interest signal a potential shift in the country's political landscape. As the situation unfolds, the outcome of these proposed discussions with the military leadership will be closely watched by both supporters and critics of the PTI.
