An individual from Boise, Idaho, named Alexander Louie has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for intentionally trying to transmit HIV to multiple sexual partners, including minors. Louie, who is HIV-positive, deceived his partners about his health status, engaging in unprotected sexual activities with the aim of spreading the virus, as confirmed by law enforcement officials.

The 34-year-old's behavior was described by prosecutors as predatory and deliberate, with the clear objective of infecting others with HIV. Louie's arrest came after he engaged in online conversations with an undercover detective posing as a 15-year-old boy from the Ada County Sheriff's office. This led to a planned meeting for sexual activities, resulting in Louie's apprehension by the police.

Initially facing charges of child enticement, Louie also faced additional charges related to the transmission of HIV-containing bodily fluids. During the sentencing hearing, Ada County District Judge Derrick O'Neill strongly criticized Louie's actions, labeling them as predatory and emphasizing the danger they posed to public health. The judge ruled that Louie will not be eligible for parole until serving 16 years.

Louie, who was not undergoing treatment for AIDS, admitted to engaging in sexual activities with 30 to 50 men and boys, including a 16-year-old. This case serves as a stark reminder of the importance of honesty and responsibility in intimate relationships, as well as the severe consequences of intentionally endangering others' lives.
