Al Baraka Bank (Pakistan) Limited recently organized its 2nd Webinar with a focus on enhancing exports from Pakistan by establishing connections between Pakistani exporters and Egyptian importers. The primary goal of the event was to aid in diversifying Pakistan's exports towards non-traditional markets. The webinar saw the participation of prominent figures including top business leaders, Chairman of Trade Bodies, Chairman of Pakistan Stock Exchange, and Ghulam Muhammad Abbasi, Director of Islamic Banking from the State Bank of Pakistan.

The webinar, led by Houssem Ben Haj Amor, CEO of Al Baraka Group (ABG), shed light on the significance of cross-border transactions within the 13 geographies where ABG Franchises are operational. Additionally, the event marked the introduction of a Trade Portal designed to streamline trade procedures between Pakistan and Egypt, following a successful similar initiative with South Africa last year.

During the webinar, Muhammad Atif Hanif, CEO of Al Baraka Bank (Pakistan) Limited, stressed the advantages of Inter-Franchise Collaboration in granting Pakistani exporters access to businesses in other franchise countries. He outlined plans to extend this collaboration to subsidiaries in Turkey, Bahrain, Algeria, Jordan, and Tunisia by 2024 and 2025, with the aim of boosting trade efficiency and cutting down costs.

The 2nd Webinar hosted by Al Baraka Bank (Pakistan) Limited served as a platform to foster stronger trade relations between Pakistan and Egypt, opening up new avenues for Pakistani exporters. The event not only highlighted the importance of diversifying export markets but also showcased the commitment of key industry players towards enhancing trade practices and promoting economic growth.
