District Administration in Dera Ismail Khan Cracks Down on Petrol Pump Irregularities

The district administration in Dera Ismail Khan recently took decisive action against profiteering and irregularities in petrol pumps by sealing two stations. This move was part of a broader effort led by Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Faseeh Ishaq Abbasi, with the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Mansoor Arshad, to ensure fair practices in the sale of petrol.

During a series of inspections conducted at various petrol pumps in the Tehsil, the focus was on verifying prices, gauges, and overall cleanliness at the stations. The inspections revealed that two filling stations were engaging in malpractices, including the use of faulty gauges and overcharging customers. As a result, these stations were promptly sealed to prevent further exploitation of consumers.

Assistant Commissioner Abbasi reiterated the district administration's commitment to upholding standards and preventing the sale of petrol at inflated prices. He emphasized that such actions will continue to be taken to safeguard the rights of consumers and ensure transparency in the fuel retail sector.
