Fuad Ishaq, President of Sarhad Chamber of Commerce, proposes measures to enhance industrialization in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, focusing on infrastructure, youth entrepreneurship, and streamlined processes.

The President of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Fuad Ishaq, has put forward a series of recommendations aimed at boosting industrialization in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. During a meeting with the Chief Executive of Khyber Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC), Javed Khattak, Ishaq suggested the establishment of a modern truck adda/terminal and food markets under the name Pak-Afghan Market. He emphasized the need for improved road infrastructure and communication systems to facilitate the transportation of goods, particularly 40-feet long containers.

Ishaq highlighted the challenges faced by manufacturers in the province, including issues related to electricity and gas supply. Despite the province's significant contributions to oil production and abundant natural resources, industrial development has been hindered by infrastructure limitations. He called for the provincial government and relevant institutions to ensure the constitutional rights of the province regarding gas, electricity, and natural resources.

Furthermore, Ishaq urged for the provision of interest-free loans to youth for entrepreneurship, the revival of Development Financial Institutions, and the allocation of land for modern markets and industrial settlements. He stressed the importance of streamlining processes for industrialists and business owners through a one-window operation.

In response, Javed Khattak expressed agreement with Ishaq's proposals and committed to taking proactive steps to address the issues raised, signaling a potential positive shift towards industrial development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
