The President of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Fuad Ishaq, has presented a comprehensive set of proposals aimed at fostering industrial growth and economic development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Ishaq's suggestions focus on incentivizing industries to establish themselves in the region through various concessions and support measures.

Ishaq has requested a 20-year concession on electricity and gas rates, as well as exemptions from income and sales taxes for industries setting up in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He has also emphasized the importance of providing land at subsidized rates to encourage trade and economic activities in the area. Additionally, he has highlighted the need for a streamlined process for investors, advocating for a one-window operation to facilitate their ventures.

Recognizing the significance of reliable access to electricity and gas for business expansion and job creation, Ishaq has urged the government to collaborate closely with the business community to address challenges and implement effective policies. He has also called for the signing of a charter of economy and enhanced collaboration with stakeholders to boost the region's economy.

Pointing out the abundant natural resources in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ishaq has highlighted the surplus electricity and gas production in the region. Addressing trade relations with Afghanistan, Ishaq has expressed concern over the decline in mutual trade volume and has called for measures to enhance border trade. He has also emphasized the need to address power generation costs and implement tax reforms to broaden the tax base and stimulate economic growth.

Fuad Ishaq has stressed the importance of providing favorable loan terms to entrepreneurs to promote business development and investment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ultimately contributing to the region's economic prosperity.
