In a significant move towards promoting digital payment solutions, Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has entered into an exclusive agreement with J&K Bank for handling all banking operations related to collecting electricity bill payments. This collaboration aims to provide customers with convenient channels to pay their bills and enhance the overall bill payment experience.

The agreement, signed by Managing Director Vikas Kundal (IAS) of JPDCL and General Manager & Divisional Head (Jammu) Sunit Kumar of J&K Bank, signifies a strategic partnership between the two organizations. The signing ceremony was attended by Chief Engineer Manhar Gupta from JPDCL and senior officials from both entities.

General Manager Sunit Kumar expressed his excitement about the collaboration, emphasizing the use of technology-driven banking solutions to improve service delivery for JPDCL customers. He believes that this partnership will contribute significantly to the digital transformation of the region, making electricity bill payments more accessible and convenient for the people of Jammu.

MD Vikas Kundal commended J&K Bank for its role in the economic development of J&K and highlighted the positive impact of this partnership on service delivery for JPDCL consumers. Furthermore, J&K Bank has been appointed as the 'Direct Debit Account Agent' of JPDCL for vendor payments during the implementation of the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) project under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).
