Air Link and IMIKI Partner for Smart Wearables

A partnership has been formed between Air Link Communication Limited, a smartphone manufacturer based in Pakistan, and IMIKI Corporation, a Chinese technology firm, to collaborate on the production of smart wearable devices. This joint venture was officially announced in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange. The CEO of Air Link Communication Limited, Muzzaffar Hayat Piracha, played a key role in finalizing the partnership during a significant visit to China alongside the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, where the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IMIKI Corporation was signed.

This strategic move by Air Link aims to drive innovation and technological advancement within Pakistan. The partnership between Air Link and IMIKI Corporation is viewed as a positive step towards enhancing the technological relationship between Pakistan and China. The signing ceremony was graced by the presence of notable government officials, including the Federal Minister for Commerce, Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Federal Minister for Privatisation, and the Federal Secretary of the Board of Investment.

During his official visit to China, Prime Minister Shehbaz engaged in discussions with executives from leading Chinese companies across sectors such as oil and gas, energy, ICT, and emerging technologies. At the Pak-China Business Forum, the Prime Minister urged Pakistani businesses to seek out collaboration and investment opportunities with Chinese firms in industries like textile, leather, steel, and engineering.
