16 Farmers Accused of Intimidating PASSCO Staff

Recently, police have taken action against 16 farmers who are accused of intimidating staff members of the Pakistan Agricultural Storage & Services Corporation (PASSCO). The issue revolves around the non-issuance of wheat payments and distribution of bardana, a matter of significant concern in the agricultural sector.

The complaint was officially lodged by a PASCO purchase inspector at the Model Town police station. According to the complaint details, a group of individuals, notably led by Wajid, Irfan, and Rashid, forcefully entered the office armed and demanded immediate issuance of wheat bills. The situation escalated when the demands were not met, and the accused individuals resorted to threatening the staff. The incident culminated in the group fleeing the scene with an official register, adding to the severity of the situation.
