The Advanced Studies and Research Board (ASRB) recently held its second session of the 68th meeting at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) in Islamabad. Chaired by Director Prof Dr. Syed Amir Shah, the meeting aimed to evaluate student synopses. Attendees included the four Deans, scholars, subject specialists, supervisors, and department heads.

A total of nineteen students presented their synopses during the session, with 12 from the English Department and 7 from the Department of Pakistani Languages. While some synopses were approved with minor revisions suggested by subject specialists, others were advised to refine and resubmit within 15 days.

VC AIOU Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood stressed the significance of developing thorough research outlines specific to the subject matter. He urged scholars to concentrate on addressing contemporary social issues in their research endeavors.

The ASRB meeting at AIOU served as a platform for students and scholars to showcase their research work and receive valuable feedback. The emphasis on comprehensive research and addressing societal challenges highlights the university's commitment to fostering academic excellence and relevance.
