A group of female thieves has been causing havoc among passengers of Peshawar's Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system by stealing an alarming number of mobile phones on a daily basis. Reports from Peshawar police indicate that this gang is responsible for snatching approximately 15 to 20 mobile phones each day, with a total value ranging between Rs 300,000 to Rs 400,000.

The police report has identified a total of 22 women who are actively involved in criminal activities at 10 different stations along the BRT route in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. To combat this rising issue, authorities have taken steps to publicly showcase the images of these thieves at various BRT stations.

Further investigations by the police have revealed that the arrested women were found in possession of fake identity cards that falsely indicated different regions of Punjab, such as Nowshera, as their place of issuance. Despite being apprehended, the gang members have managed to evade authorities and continue their illegal activities by utilizing these counterfeit ID cards.

It is crucial for passengers to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities to ensure the safety and security of all commuters.
