Highway Police Officers Face Escalating Violence Threat

Recently, a disturbing trend of violence against highway police officers has come to light, with a tragic incident occurring at Bedra Interchange in Mansehra. During a routine traffic stop to issue a challan, unidentified assailants in a car opened fire on the officers, resulting in the death of one officer and injuries to two others. The deceased officer was identified as Aamir Khan Swati, highlighting the dangers faced by law enforcement officials in the line of duty.

Following the incident, the Mansehra District Police launched a search operation to apprehend the suspects, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation. This unfortunate event is not an isolated case, as similar acts of aggression towards Motorway Police have been reported in recent times.

In a separate incident, a woman was captured on video ramming her car into a Motorway Police officer after being stopped for speeding. The footage, widely shared on social media, depicted her engaging in a heated argument and using abusive language towards the officer. Another distressing altercation occurred near Kallar Kahar, where two women were seen threatening and verbally abusing Motorway Police personnel during a dispute.

These incidents underscore the challenges faced by law enforcement officers in maintaining public safety and enforcing traffic regulations.
