The FIA arrests four individuals in Charsadda for illegally seeking CNICs, highlighting the importance of safeguarding the national identity system against fraudulent activities.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) recently made significant arrests in Charsadda district, apprehending four individuals involved in unlawfully seeking Computerized National Identity Cards (CNIC). This incident unfolded following a complaint lodged by the NADRA office staff in Charsadda, who raised concerns about suspicious CNIC applications being submitted.
Upon receiving the complaint, FIA officials swiftly responded by arriving at the NADRA office and detaining all four suspects. The group comprised two Pakistani nationals and two Afghan nationals, with the latter attempting to fraudulently acquire Pakistani CNICs. Furthermore, it was revealed that two individuals from Kurram district were aiding the Afghan nationals in their illegal pursuit of CNICs.
A spokesperson for the FIA stressed the importance of stringent measures being implemented to prevent unauthorized individuals from obtaining CNICs. This incident serves as a reminder of the ongoing efforts to safeguard the integrity of the national identity registration system and protect against fraudulent activities.
