Allegations of intelligence interference in Pakistan's judiciary lead to Imran Khan urging for judicial action to uphold the Constitution and prevent a worsening constitutional crisis.

Allegations of interference in judicial affairs by the country's intelligence apparatus have stirred a major controversy in Pakistan. The issue came to light when six judges of the Islamabad High Court raised concerns about attempts to pressure judges through abduction, torture of their relatives, and secret surveillance inside their homes. This led to a series of events, including a full court meeting of Supreme Court judges and the formation of a commission to investigate the matter.

PTI founder Imran Khan, in a letter to Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa, called for strict action against those who have subverted the Constitution. He criticized the judiciary for what he deemed as meek and indecisive actions, urging for a robust mechanism of enforcement and accountability to uphold the judiciary's independence.

Imran highlighted various issues, including the exoneration of Nawaz Sharif in a corruption case, alleged misconduct by the NAB chairman, and incidents of violence and alleged rigging in general elections. He emphasized the need for prompt intervention by the Supreme Court to address these critical matters.

In conclusion, Imran warned that inaction on the part of the judiciary could worsen the constitutional crisis in the country. He called upon Chief Justice Isa to uphold the principles and values of Pakistan's founding fathers and ensure the supremacy of the Constitution for the sake of the nation's integrity.
