Governor Faisal Karim Kundi of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa meets with tribal elders to address concerns, promising support and proposing solutions for issues in merged areas.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recently met with a delegation of 120 tribal elders from merged areas to address their concerns and issues. The meeting, held at the Governor House, focused on acknowledging the sacrifices made by tribal people in safeguarding the nation.

During the meeting, Governor Kundi pledged to honor the commitments made to the tribal elders and assured them that their voices would be heard. He promised to facilitate a Jirga for the elders to meet with the President and Bilawal Bhutto, emphasizing the importance of resolving law and order challenges with the cooperation of relevant authorities.

The tribal elders raised various issues, including problems such as load shedding, students' quota, and recruitment in levies. They also highlighted the need to safeguard the Sikh community in tribal areas and seek justice for minorities targeted in killings.

To address these concerns, Governor Kundi assured the delegation of his full support and proposed the formation of a five-member committee to compile recommendations. He committed to advocating for the tribal people in appropriate forums and working closely with the police department to ensure the safety of the Sikh community members.

Both provincial and federal authorities are dedicated to providing essential services to tribal communities and integrating them into the national development agenda, demonstrating a commitment to inclusivity and support for all citizens.
