Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) and Hajj Organizers Association of Pakistan (HOAP) Patron-in-Chief, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, has introduced a detailed code of conduct aimed at ensuring a smooth and trouble-free pilgrimage experience for private Hajj pilgrims. The unveiling took place during a press conference in Islamabad, where Ashrafi emphasized the importance of booking Hajj journeys only through authorized organizers to avoid falling victim to fraudulent activities by unauthorized groups on social media platforms.

Ashrafi also addressed the issue of unauthorized pilgrimage by Pakistani diaspora in Saudi Arabia, highlighting the strict prohibition of performing Hajj without official permission according to Islamic principles and the law of the land. He warned of consequences for individuals caught without proper authorization, which could harm the country's reputation.

Furthermore, Ashrafi discouraged disruptive behavior during Hajj rituals, such as taking selfies and videos, urging pilgrims to focus on religious duties and maintain decorum for a seamless pilgrimage experience. He also advised against engaging in political activities during the Hajj season, emphasizing the negative impact on Pakistan's image internationally.

The code of conduct, based on the Holy Quran and the Hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), stresses the importance of undertaking Hajj with lawful wealth, avoiding disputes, and embodying dignity and humility throughout the pilgrimage. Pilgrims are urged to follow guidelines from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony and appointed leaders of Hajj and Umrah groups, prioritizing obedience to Allah and His commandments.

Saudi Arabia's efforts to facilitate pilgrims, including the Route Makkah program benefiting Pakistani pilgrims, are acknowledged. The code of conduct aims to ensure a spiritually enriching and harmonious pilgrimage experience, rooted in devotion, humility, and obedience to Allah's commandments.
