Hafiz Ashrafi Introduces Code of Conduct for Hajj Pilgrims

The Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) Chairman, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, has introduced a detailed code of conduct aimed at ensuring a smooth and trouble-free pilgrimage experience for private Hajj pilgrims. Emphasizing the importance of booking Hajj journeys only through authorized organizers, Ashrafi warned against fraudulent activities by unauthorized groups on social media platforms. He urged pilgrims to stay vigilant and avoid falling victim to scams that exploit religious sentiments for monetary gain.

Ashrafi also addressed the issue of unauthorized pilgrimage by Pakistani diaspora in Saudi Arabia, highlighting that performing Hajj without official permission is strictly prohibited according to Islamic principles and the law. He cautioned that individuals caught without proper authorization would face consequences, potentially harming the country's reputation.

Furthermore, Ashrafi discouraged disruptive behavior during Hajj rituals, such as taking selfies and videos, emphasizing the need to focus on religious duties and maintain decorum. He advised against engaging in political activities at sacred sites in Saudi Arabia, noting that such actions contradict Islamic teachings and reflect poorly on Pakistan internationally.

The code of conduct, based on the Holy Quran and Hadiths, stresses the importance of undertaking Hajj with Halal wealth, avoiding disputes, and embodying dignity and humility. Pilgrims are urged to follow Ministry of Religious Affairs guidelines and show obedience to Allah's commandments.

Saudi Arabia's efforts to facilitate pilgrims, including the Route Makkah program, are acknowledged. The code emphasizes patience in facing challenges and adherence to regulations, especially for women and individuals with disabilities. Pilgrims are advised to seek guidance on rituals and follow scholars' instructions for stoning the Jamarat.
