Muhammad Iqbal Khan tragically passes away in road accident

Muhammad Iqbal Khan, an independent candidate for the PP-269 Muzaffargarh by-election, tragically passed away due to injuries sustained in a road accident. The incident occurred when his motorcycle was hit by an overspeeding car on May 2 along the Dera Ghazi Khan road. Khan was rushed to Nishtar Hospital in Multan in critical condition, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

Khan had been actively participating in the by-election campaign for PP-269 Muzaffargarh as an independent candidate. Despite his efforts, he had submitted an application to withdraw from the election on May 1. The Returning Officer for Constituency PP-269 Muzaffargarh, Nasir Shahzad Dogar, confirmed this development. As a result, the by-election for PP-269 is scheduled to proceed on May 18 as planned.

This unfortunate incident has cast a shadow over the upcoming by-election in Muzaffargarh.
