Inspector General of Sindh Terminates DSP for Gutka Transportation

Recently, the Inspector General of Sindh took a strict action by terminating DSP Ahmed Karim Jilani from his position due to his involvement in the transportation of gutka. This decision came after a thorough departmental inquiry conducted by DIG Tanveer Alam Odho.

The inquiry report uncovered that on March 10, Ahmed Karim Jilani was caught by customs officials in Jamshoro district with gutka discovered in his vehicle. The report also highlighted the involvement of the private driver Barkat Qureshi, who was arrested in connection with the incident. The recommendation from the report suggests that severe legal actions should be taken against Barkat Qureshi for his role in the transportation of the banned substance.
