Two members of the notorious Irfan gang, Mohd Imran and Abdul Rehman, were arrested in Delhi for possession of illegal firearms. Imran, with a history of serious crimes, recruited Rehman as his partner. The incident underscores the challenges in combating organized crime and the importance of joint efforts for public safety.

Two individuals associated with the infamous Irfan gang, Mohd Imran and Abdul Rehman, were captured by the Delhi Police's Crime Branch in the capital city. The arrests were made after the suspects were found in possession of illegal firearms, including a semi-automatic pistol and a country-made pistol.

Mohd Imran, also known as Bada Imran, has a history of criminal activities dating back to 2010 when he joined the Irfan gang. He has been previously involved in serious crimes, such as a dacoity case in 2011 and two murders in 2017 during a gang rivalry.

Acting on a specific tip-off, the police laid a trap at G.T. Karnal Road, Kashmiri Gate, leading to the apprehension of the suspects as they tried to evade the authorities. Imran, who had served time in prison for his past crimes, recruited Abdul Rehman as his partner in crime upon his release in 2022.

The incident highlights the ongoing challenges faced by law enforcement in tackling organized crime in the region, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts to maintain public safety and security.
