Imran Khan alleges wife served food with toilet cleaner

Former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan made shocking allegations during a corruption hearing at Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail. Khan stated that his wife, Bushra Bibi, was served food laced with toilet cleaner, leading to her deteriorating health.

Imran Khan informed Judge Nasir Javed Rana about the unusual courtroom setup with additional walls, creating a closed court environment. He mentioned that despite a recommendation from Shaukat Khanum Hospital's Chief Medical Officer to conduct tests at Shifa International Hospital, the jail administration insisted on using PIMS Hospital.

Expressing concern over Bushra Bibi's health, Khan revealed that the presence of toilet cleaner in her food caused daily stomach irritation. The court advised Khan against holding press conferences during hearings, emphasizing the need for decorum. Khan defended his interactions with the media, stating that he clarifies misquoted statements through these engagements.

Imran Khan requested a 10-minute media interaction post-hearing, citing the jail administration's practice of removing journalists from the courtroom after proceedings. The court stressed the importance of maintaining order and suggested addressing the media outside the courtroom.
