Fashion designer Khadija Shah's arrest warrants withdrawn in Lahore court hearing for Askari Tower attack trial. PTI leaders also present in court. Next hearing scheduled for May 2.
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore withdrew bailable warrants for fashion designer Khadija Shah after she appeared in court for the Askari Tower attack trial proceedings. Shah, along with her counsel, attended the court session following the issuance of bailable arrest warrants for missing a previous hearing. She assured the court of her commitment to attending all future hearings related to the case. The ATC Judge Arshad Javed subsequently withdrew the arrest warrants and scheduled the next hearing for May 2. Additionally, PTI leaders Yasmin Rashid and Omar Sarfraz Cheema were also presented in court after being brought from jail in connection to the same case.
Last year, Khadija Shah was granted bail in all cases linked to the May 9 incidents, including the one involving the attack on Askari Tower. The Gulberg police had filed a case against Shah, PTI leaders, and workers for their alleged involvement in the riots that took place on May 9.
