Rawalpindi Ensures Safe Eid Celebrations with Stringent Security Measures

Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated in Rawalpindi with great enthusiasm and devotion, marking the end of the holy month of Ramazan. The city witnessed large Eid congregations at various venues, including mosques and open spaces like Liaquat Bagh. During Eid sermons, religious scholars emphasized the importance of unity among the Muslim Ummah and offered prayers for the prosperity and well-being of the country.

Special prayers were also held for the progress and unity of the Muslim community, resolution of their issues, and the liberation of Muslim territories, particularly occupied Kashmir. To ensure the safety of citizens during the festivities, stringent security measures were implemented across the city. Over 2,500 police personnel were deployed to monitor Eid congregations, public areas, shopping centers, and key buildings to prevent any potential security threats.

Walk-through gates and scanners were installed at main Eid prayer locations, while armed guards and police officers were stationed at mosques, Imambargahs, and other religious gatherings. The City Traffic Police (CTP) devised a comprehensive traffic management plan to regulate the flow of vehicles on city roads during the Eid period. A total of 460 traffic officers and wardens, including DSPs, inspectors, and traffic assistants, were assigned special duties to ensure smooth traffic operations.

Overall, the Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations in Rawalpindi were marked by prayers for peace, unity, and prosperity, coupled with robust security and traffic management measures to safeguard the well-being of the citizens during the festive occasion.
