Lahore Metro Driver Spotted Flying Kite on Bridge

In a bizarre incident, a driver of Lahore's Orange Line Metro train was caught flying a kite on the bridge after halting the train midway. The video of the incident, shared by a social media user named Chaudhry Tariq Shabbir, showcased the driver in his uniform enjoying kite-flying while the train remained stationary on the track. It seems that the driver paused the train to remove a kite stuck on the track, although no official confirmation has been provided by the authorities yet.

This peculiar occurrence took place amidst the Punjab government's crackdown on kite-flying, prompted by a tragic incident in Faisalabad where a man lost his life due to a kite string. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has instructed the police to take stringent measures to prevent such illegal activities and safeguard lives.

The Orange Line Metro, spanning from Ali Town on Raiwind Road to Dera Gujran, covers a total length of 27.1 km, with an elevated section stretching 25.4 kilometers. The route follows the Multan Road corridor, passing through key areas like Thokar Niaz Baig, Chauburji, Lake Road, Mcleod Road, Nicholson Road, and the main Railway Crossing before reaching G.T. Road and connecting to Lahore Ring Road.
