Lahore Police Crackdown on Illegal Gambling Activities

Police in Lahore have intensified their efforts to combat illegal gambling activities in the city. This year alone, they have taken strict action against individuals involved in such activities, with a total of 540 cases registered and 2271 suspects apprehended. The operations conducted by the police have resulted in the recovery of Rs7.174 million from those arrested.

The Capital City Police Officer, Bilal Siddique Kamyana, has emphasized the ongoing crackdown on gambling and has directed law enforcement agencies to carry out intelligence-based raids on gambling dens. Additionally, he has urged the use of technology to identify and apprehend individuals engaged in online gambling. Kamyana has also highlighted the significance of monitoring social media platforms and applications that promote illegal gambling.
