Authorities in Saudi Arabia have issued stern warnings cautioning the public against falling prey to fraudulent advertisements circulating on social media platforms in relation to the Hajj pilgrimage. These deceptive ads make false claims of offering various services such as organizing Hajj trips for others, managing Adahi (sacrifices), selling Hajj bracelets, and providing transportation services.

The General Directorate of Public Security has underscored that severe penalties await individuals engaged in such deceitful practices. To counter these fraudulent schemes, citizens are urged to promptly report any suspicious activities by dialing 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Region, or 999 in other regions across the Kingdom.

It is crucial for individuals to remain vigilant and cautious when dealing with offers related to the Hajj pilgrimage, especially on social media platforms. The authorities are actively working to crack down on fraudulent activities, and it is essential for the public to cooperate by reporting any suspicious behavior.
