With a grim picture painted by tragic deaths and rampant criminal activities, urgent action is needed to restore law and order in the city.

The Senior Deputy Convener of MQM-Pakistan, Syed Mustafa Kamal, has raised concerns over the escalating street crimes in Karachi, urging for immediate military intervention to address the issue. Kamal highlighted the alarming rate of violence in the city, attributing it to the perceived incompetence of the Sindh government and police.

According to Kamal, the year has witnessed the tragic deaths of 60 citizens due to street crimes, painting a grim picture of the security situation in Karachi. He emphasized the need for swift action by proposing that Karachi be placed under military control for a period of three months to combat the rampant criminal activities.

Expressing dismay over the lack of safety for residents, Kamal pointed out a recent incident in the Metroville area where two individuals were killed by street criminals who also looted a substantial amount of money. He criticized the authorities for failing to ensure the protection of citizens, stating that no area in Karachi is immune to crime.

The MQM-P leader directed questions at the Sindh Home Minister, questioning the inaction of the police and the government in addressing the security challenges. He accused the authorities of allowing robbers, dacoits, and killers to operate freely, further underscoring the urgent need for military intervention to restore law and order.

During the holy month of Ramazan alone, 20 citizens lost their lives in confrontations with armed individuals resisting robberies, bringing the total number of street crime-related deaths to 58 this year. Shockingly, Sindh police data revealed a staggering 6,780 reported street crimes in Karachi within a single month, highlighting the pervasive nature of the security crisis.

The escalating street crimes in Karachi have prompted a fervent plea from MQM-Pakistan's Syed Mustafa Kamal for immediate military deployment to tackle the growing security challenges. With citizens facing increasing threats to their safety and property, the call for decisive action underscores the pressing need for effective measures to combat crime and restore peace in the city.
