SNGPL disconnects consumer connections in Multan, while NUML and MCCI collaborate to align education with industry needs. Plans for an IT conference and park aim to drive innovation and economic growth.

In Multan, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) recently disconnected six consumer connections due to violations. The departmental task force conducted raids, disconnecting meters used for commercial purposes and seizing meters for non-billing issues.

Meanwhile, the Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) partnered with the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) to enhance national productivity. This collaboration aims to align education with industry needs, ensuring students are equipped with relevant skills for the workforce. The partnership will establish a framework where industry insights inform curriculum enhancements and training methodologies at the university.

Brigadier Retired Asad Raza, NUML's Director, highlighted the university's commitment to incorporating industry feedback into student training programs to address unemployment. MCCI's representative, Muhammad Aasim, emphasized the importance of tailored educational programs to meet industry demands, advocating for specialized courses like digital marketing.

MCCI announced plans for an IT conference and the establishment of an IT park in the city to promote innovation and industry-academia collaboration. Stakeholders emphasized the benefits of such partnerships in equipping youth with skills and driving economic growth.

Illegal extensions in houses led to disconnections, with a fine collected from a consumer. Operation Incharge Jameel Rasheed urged citizens to obtain safe gas cylinders from SNGPL to prevent accidents.

The actions taken by authorities in Multan demonstrate a commitment to upholding regulations and fostering collaboration between industry and education. These initiatives aim to enhance skills, drive economic growth, and ensure safety in the community.
