The Peshawar High Court intervenes in a plea to transfer Revenue Courts to the new Judicial Complex in Charsadda, addressing operational inconvenience for legal practitioners and litigants.

The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has taken notice of a plea requesting the transfer of Revenue Courts to the new Judicial Complex in Charsadda. A two-member bench comprising Justice Shakeel Ahmad and Justice Dr. Khursheed Iqbal issued notices to the Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Senior Member of Board of Revenue, and relevant Deputy Commissioners to submit their replies.

The counsel representing the plea highlighted that despite the completion of the new complex, Revenue Courts continue to operate from the old building. This situation has led to inconvenience for lawyers and litigants who are required to travel to different locations for their cases.

Ahmad Zeb, the counsel, pointed out that the new Judicial Complex was inaugurated by the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and even the former Chief Justice had intervened on the matter. However, the transfer of Revenue Courts has not taken place yet.

The divisional bench of PHC, led by Justices Shakeel Ahmad and Dr. Khurshid Iqbal, has requested a response from the concerned authorities. The further hearing on this issue has been adjourned following the arguments presented.

The delay in transferring Revenue Courts to the new Judicial Complex in Charsadda has prompted the Peshawar High Court to intervene. The court's directive to the relevant authorities to provide explanations indicates a push towards resolving the issue of operational inconvenience faced by legal practitioners and litigants.
