PHA Rawalpindi's Bird-Friendly Initiative Amid Heatwave

As the scorching heatwave continues to impact Rawalpindi and Islamabad, the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Rawalpindi has stepped up to address the challenges faced by birds in the urban environment. PHA has installed specially designed water pots in parks and under flyovers across the city to provide relief to our feathered friends.

These water pots are strategically placed to ensure that birds have access to drinking water and are shielded from the harsh sun. The initiative, spearheaded by Director General Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, aims to prevent bird fatalities due to dehydration and heat stress, especially in areas where water sources are scarce.
