Cadet Abdullah from PMA Kakul shines at UK's Sandhurst, receiving Hodson’s Horse Merit Award and International Instructor Pass, lauded by France's chief of army staff.
A cadet from Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), Kakul has made headlines for his exceptional achievement at the UK’s Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. The cadet, Abdullah, belonging to PMA 148 Long Course, recently received the prestigious Hodson’s Horse Merit Award at a ceremony held at Sandhurst.
Abdullah commenced his journey at Sandhurst in April 2022 and exhibited remarkable performance throughout his tenure, culminating in his graduation on April 12, 2024. His outstanding capabilities were acknowledged with the Hodson’s Horse Merit Award, a recognition bestowed upon foreign cadets who surpass the established criteria.
Notably, Abdullah's accomplishments extended beyond the award itself. He also earned the esteemed International Instructor Pass, a distinction held by only 19 foreign cadets since 1957. This dual recognition underscores Abdullah's exceptional skills and dedication to his military training.
The award ceremony, graced by France’s chief of army staff and attended by Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK, highlighted Abdullah's exemplary performance and the pride he brought to his alma mater, PMA Kakul.
