Ensuring food security and increasing agricultural productivity are crucial goals that require a well-trained workforce. Prof Dr Mohammad Sarwar Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor/Dean Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF), emphasized the importance of transferring the latest agricultural trends from laboratories to fields. This transfer of knowledge is essential for leveraging modern technology to enhance per-acre production and alleviate poverty.

Prof Dr Khan highlighted that UAF prioritizes admissions under the rural-urban quota, giving special consideration to students from rural backgrounds. The Faculty of Agriculture at UAF has been recognized for its excellence, with seven departments included in the W-category for their outstanding educational and research services. Notably, UAF has achieved international acclaim, ranking as the 56th best university globally in agriculture and forestry according to the QS ranking.
